Capella Hotel, Sydney

LOCATION:
Sydney
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Department of Education building has a golden sandstone facade that has been in place for generations, and it is located on Bridge Street. The building has been revitalized and is now called Capella Sydney, providing luxury accommodation, cuisine, and cultural experiences that are of a global standard. Capella Sydney manages to balance its heritage architectural features with a contemporary design aesthetic and celebrates Australian lifestyle through its interiors, location, and experiences.

The interior spaces of Capella Sydney are adorned with curated artwork, sophisticated furnishings, and intriguing objects d'art. There are 192 guestrooms and suites spread across eight levels, and the ground floor of the building features three food and beverage options, including the Brasserie 1930 signature restaurant and the McRae Bar.

The design development and construction documentation of Capella Sydney were done by WEBBER in collaboration with MAKE Architects and BAR Interior Design.
